Choosing an Inner Critic Pattern to Work on

In order to start with Self-Therapy Journey, you will need to choose an Inner Critic Pattern to work on, at least initially. You can change your mind, or decide to work on more than one pattern, at any point.

Here are your options:

  • Inner Critic
  • Taskmaster
  • Perfectionist
  • Food Controller
  • Underminer
  • Destroyer

The Inner Critic pattern is a good one to start with if you aren’t sure yet which type of Critic you want to work with, or if you want to work with one of the types that isn’t implemented in STJ yet (Guilt Tripper, Conformist, Inner Controller for other than food). If you start with the Inner Critic pattern, you will given the option of choosing one of the others during the Intro Stage.

If you know that one of the 5 types of Inner Critics is the most important for you, you may want to start with it.

Click here to look over all the patterns in STJ. The Inner Critic patterns are under Personal Issues. You can explore each of them to get a better idea of where you want to start. When you have chosen an Inner Critic pattern, go ahead and enroll for that pattern or subscribe to STJ as a whole, as you prefer. (Enrollment was described in the previous section for this week.)
