Self-Therapy Journey (STJ) is a new interactive web program that enables you to systematically classify, explore, and transform your psychological issues. You can think of it as a sophisticated and interactive set of self-help books, plus guided meditations and customized reports. STJ is based on IFS and the Pattern System.

What can STJ help you do?

  • Resolve problems like procrastination, shyness, or depression
  • Transform behavior patterns like dependency, controlling, or people-pleasing
  • Navigate through defenses
  • Heal emotional wounds
  • Create a complete psychological profile for yourself

How does STJ work?

  • It provides recorded guided meditations for deep exploration.
  • It generates a customized report for each of your patterns.
  • It guides you in creating homework practices.
  • It transforms problems into healthy capacities.
  • It helps you track your progress.

In this course, you will learn how Self-Therapy Journey works and how to get the most out of it.

The Pattern System is a systematic approach to understanding your personality that can lead directly to psychological healing and personal growth.  It also helps you to understand other people—why they respond as they do, what makes them tick.

In this course, you will also learn about the Pattern System—how to chart your personality, and how to choose which patterns and capacities to work on in STJ.

By taking this course, you will be able to get access to the Therapist-Guided Version of STJ that includes Stage 2 work on childhood wounds, if this is appropriate for you.

Beyond Eating: Dealing with Food Addiction

by: Bonnie Weiss, LCSW

Have you struggled with your relationship with food for years? Gone up and down? Thought you had an answer, only to find the yoyo happens again? IFS understands how parts are involved in this eating conundrum. It offers a unique portal into seeing what is going on from a new perspective. In the Beyond Eating class we will untangle the web of parts that are involved in eating problems and have us feeling like a hopeless failure. We will work with the Inner Controller, the Indulger, the Rebel, the Foggy Part, the Criticized Child and the Inner Defender. We will build an Inner Champion and Inner Mentor to support us and provide guidance on finding our way out of this dilemma.

Discovering Your Inner GPS

Like a map to a new city, IFS is a sort of inner GPS that helps us explore both tricky and painful feelings and also help us move into a calm, clear, and connected place. This ability to experience both at the same time is similar to watching a sped up version of a glass of muddy water resting, and when the muck has settled down, the glass contains mostly clear transparent liquid. Like the muddy water, we are sometimes stirred up and when we use the IFS process, the clearing brings relaxation and understanding, and a potential for a new capacity for intimacy and creativity. We can begin to trust ourselves even in confusing experiences, as we rely internally on a sense of empowered Self within.

“I came to see Lynne after my divorce because I wanted to be conscious in my process of finding a life partner. Without Lynne I would not have seen that there were roadblocks in my life to having a healthy relationship for she brought tools from her life experience, her training, and an excellent catalog of materials that she shares with me during every session.  Her warmth and encouragement keep me moving forward and positive, but her knowledge and resources are also boundless.”
