If you have an Attack Wound, at a deep level you are frightened of people’s anger or violence, at least under certain circumstances. You may get upset when you realize that someone is angry with you. This may make it impossible for you to deal with the impact of the anger or attack in a healthy way by remaining grounded during the expression of anger or by setting limits on an attacker. It also may make it difficult for you to avoid the perception that someone’s expression of anger is an attack, even when it isn’t. Or you may become much more upset than is warranted by the amount of anger being expressed because you are too caught up in the pain of the exile.

These feelings may be completely conscious, or they may only lurk in the background because you usually defend against them in certain ways, such as by getting angry or withdrawing.
